Workers Pay Nothing Policy

Last updated: 31 October 2026

Workers pay nothing. No worker is ever asked to pay a recruitment fee to Opaldale or to any partner we introduce. Recruitment costs sit with the employer, always.

The Employer Pays Principle

Opaldale follows the Employer Pays Principle: the costs of recruiting a worker are paid by the employer or hiring agency, never by the worker.

This matches the law in Nepal, our main source market, where the Foreign Employment Act prohibits charging workers recruitment fees. We apply the same standard to every market we work with, including India and the Philippines through our partners.

Our partners

Every recruitment partner we introduce is licensed by its national government, and we check that licence before any introduction. Our partners charge workers no recruitment fees. Partners are expected to follow this policy.

Opaldale does not recruit workers directly and does not take money from workers for any reason.

If a worker is ever asked for money

If anyone asks a worker for money in connection with an introduction made through Opaldale, the worker, or anyone acting for them, should email info@opaldale.com. Please include the name of the agency or person, what was asked for, and when. Every report is taken seriously and handled in confidence.

Workers in Nepal can also report to the Government of Nepal's Department of Foreign Employment.
